We have a Family Account with 1Password. This account allows anyone who is in the Family group to access usernames and passwords stored in that group.

The group name is The Danceys

1Password is an application created by the company Agile Bits. Versions exist for macOS, Windows, iOS, iPadOS, Android, etc. Essentially any place we are likely to need username/password access, there's a version of 1Password for that platform.

Using this 3rd party tool is a superior solution to using one of the password managers created by a platform company like Apple or Microsoft. The 3rd party (Agile Bits in this case) has an incentive to keep their tool available on as many different platforms as possible, whereas a platform company has an incentive to create lock-in or barrier to exit by making their tool work worse on, or not work with, competitive platforms.

The account credentials for 1Password are stored in the entry for 1Password Account (Ryan) in 1Password. They are also printed out and kept in a file folder in the filing cabinet in Ryan's office.
